TERMS AND CONDITIONS | RETURNS / WARRENTEE’S ON DELIVERY/RECEIVING OF GOODS

All our deliveries are outsourced to independent courier companies which we have strong and longterm relations with. Ensuring a smooth delivery is always challenging as we deal with the human factor and considering that accidents do happen. Please therefore take note of the following

  1. A delivery means receiving goods onto the client’s property and not the area where the goods are to be positioned unless alternative arrangements have been made with the salesperson.
  2. In this case it is the client’s responsibility to ensure adequate access to where furniture needs to be delivered. The area needs to be free and clear of any obstructions. Any damage caused due to any obstruction, narrow passages, stairways, overhead obstacles will not be liable for a claim and at the client’s risk and cost. At any stage it is up the courier/delivery company discretion to decline a clients request if they feel it is unsafe to do so or if they are spending too much time on site. In such a case the furniture will be placed anywhere where it is suited to do so.
  3. Please check and inspect your purchase/ furniture to ensure that it is correct and not damaged. Please note any damages or discrepancies on the delivery note when signing for acceptance. Failure to do so in particular to transport damage will forfeit any claim as damaged could be caused after delivery by another person or client.
  4. It is also important to report such damages within 48 hours to the relevant salesperson with supporting photos via email.
  5. The salesperson will get back to you within 2 working days from the time of receiving the photos on a resolution.
  6. Thereafter the salesperson will indicate whether the issue/s fall within Bloc Outdoor’s Warranty terms. If the item/s do fall within the Warranty terms/period the salesperson will notify the client and arrange accordingly to resolve the matter asap although new lead times can be expected.
  7. Furthermore it will be the clients responsibility and cost to return an item which is found to be within the warrantee and guarantee period to BLOC Outdoor CC, 7 Evans Ave, Epping 1, Cape Town Once fixed or repaired it will once again be the responsibility and cost of the client to get it delivered back to them.
  8. BLOC Outdoor will under no circumstance be held liable for any claim that might arise as compensation from the client due to the loss or damage/inconvenience they might incur as a matter of the above.
